Book of the week: One of the reasons I love Armchair Books in Whistler is because when I walk in there Bookstore Sarah always says, “You will like this one Feet,” and pushes some tome over that I would likely never have discovered on my own. And she’s always right.
“This one” is an incredible post-apocalyptic coming of age story about a kid and his father trying to rebuild society (and stay alive) after a virus wiped out 99% of the earth’s population. Nuclear reactors melt down, the climate goes beserk, and packs of ravenous dogs stalk the land. It’s tense and relatable-this terrible future works seems like it could be just around the corner.
