Book: The Bell Tolls for No One

The Bell Tolls for No One by Charles Bukowski

Book of the week: A sorta-new (2015) collection of unpublished or rare Bukowski short stories? Don’t mind if I do. Love him or hate him, Bukowski was god damn prolific with his output and could always find a way to sum up complex (and common) emotions in a stark and simple manner. This book is not his best work, and some would claim that much of Bukowski’s work hasn’t aged well but it’s Bukowski and i haven’t read it before so that’s good enough for me.

(Shout out to Talk Story Bookstore in Hannapepe, Kauai for stocking this one. Every time my son and I make it to that beautiful part of the world we always find gems on their shelves.)
